The Dow Jones broke 30,000 for the first time on news that Trump had okayed the Biden transition, the promising vaccine news, and was also buoyed by Biden’s appointment of the former Federal Reserve chair as his Treasury Secretary.
But the lame-duck President rushed to the White House briefing room to take credit. He spoke for all of two minutes, saying he wanted to ‘congratulate everybody’ on the record.
‘That’s a sacred number, 30,000. Nobody thought they’d ever see it,’ he boasted.
He seems to have forgotten that he predicted a market crash if Biden won the election.
