Real-life testing has shown that the COVID-19 vaccine loses its efficacy over time, just like many vaccines.
So, come fall, most Americans are going to need a booster shot. Thursday the FDA approved the third shot for the immunocompromised.
And not surprisingly the CDC estimates that over 1 million people have received an unauthorized third shot of the vaccine.
DR. Fauci explains:
‘Inevitably there will be a time when we’ll have to get boosts…no vaccine, at least not within this category, is going to have an indefinite amount of protection.’ Fauci told the TODAY show.
‘What we’re doing – literally on a weekly and monthly basis – is falling cohorts of patients to determine if, when and whom should get it.’
