President Biden’s $6.8 trillion proposed budget aims to enact a wide range of new social programs, raising taxes on the highest earners while also reducing future budget deficits.
Sadly, it doesn’t stand a chance of passing into law because, Republicans.
In a statement, Biden called the document “a blue-collar blueprint to rebuild America in a fiscally responsible way that leaves no one behind.”
Meanwhile, the GOP wants to cut the budget with steep cuts to benefits (Medicare, for one) leaving many Americans without a safety net.
