Christopher Plummer, best known for his role as Captain von Trapp in ‘The Sound of Music,’ has died aged 91.

Famously, when the consummate actor finally won an Oscar at age 82 — for his role in  ‘Beginners’ as an ‘older’ man who comes out of the closet as gay after his wife’s death — he said to the Statue ‘Where have you been all my life?’
