Ex-President Trump was facing a union disciplinary hearing over his role in the attack on the Capitol, but before they could expel him he fired off a bitter letter to the guild, writing :

“I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!”

Trump then goes on to boast about his roles in TV and film — a small cameo in Home Alone 2, Zoolander, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, and host of the  TV show The Apprentice — before claiming that “I’ve also greatly helped the cable news television business (said to be a dying platform with not much time left until I got involved in politics), and created thousands of jobs at networks such as MSDNC and Fake News CNN, among many others.”

In a classy, succinct response, SAG issued the two -word statement, ‘Thank you.’
