As horrifying photos of the wildfires in Australia flood social media and the news, people are desperate to help. With the help of an Aussie, Sandi Logan, who has already been evacuated from his home, we’ve compiled some on-the-ground local charities as well as the international groups pledging to help the people and animals in the fire-ravaged country. All of these charities have been vetted so you are safe donating. Thank you.

1. Cobargo Bushfire Relief Center.

This fund will be used to purchase hay, chaff pellets, etc. To be available for farmers, many who have lost everything. They are also taking in farm animals, horses, pets and anyone who needs shelter.

2. Celeste Barber. The comedian has already raised millions for her home country.

3. NSW Rural Firefighters. This team of dedicated firefighters has been battling the fires from day one. They need equipment, food, and other essentials.

4. Wires Wildlife Australia. The catastrophic fires, the worst drought in history and record high temperatures are taking a tragic toll on native wildlife. You’ve all seen the heart-breaking images of kangaroos and sweet kolas. Donate to this group to help them rescue more animals and get them the life-saving medical help they need.
