The US is warning that Russia is trying to find a pretext to invade Ukraine. This time they were rumored to be using a fake video to create an excuse to go into Ukraine, guns blazing.
Reportedly, the fake video shows an attack by Ukrainians on Russian territory. By making it public, the US sends Putin back to the drawing board.
“The production of this propaganda video is one of a number of options that the Russian government is developing as a fake pretext to initiate and potentially justify military aggression against Ukraine,” said a top government official.
