In the explosive new book titled ‘I Alone Can Fix It’ from Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, the author’s detail a phone call between Republican Rep. Liz Cheney and Gen. Mark Milley the day after the Capitol insurrection, in which Cheney describes a ‘ run in’ she had with Trump supporter Rep. Jim Jordan ( the same Jim Jordan who tried to overturn the election results.)
“That f—— guy Jim Jordan. That son of a bitch. … While these maniacs are going through the place, I’m standing in the aisle and he said, ‘We need to get the ladies away from the aisle. Let me help you.’ I smacked his hand away and told him, ‘Get away from me. You f—— did this,’” Cheney reportedly told the general.
As you’ll remember, Cheney was one of the only Republicans to call out Trump on his election lies and blamed him for the Capitol riot which cost her the House GOP leadership position. And she is the only Republican brave enough to be on a Jan. 6 panel that will investigate the Capitol riot and the events leading up to it.
