President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has been indicted by special counsel David Weiss in connection with a gun he purchased in 2018.

His crime?

He is accused of making false statements on a federal firearms form and possession of a firearm as a ‘prohibited person.’

You see, when Hunter bought a revolver at a Delaware gun shop, he lied on a federal form saying that he was not addicted to, any illegal drugs – even though he was struggling with crack cocaine addiction at the time of the purchase. It’s a federal crime to lie on the ATF form or to possess a firearm as a drug user.

His lawyer, Abbe Lowell, blasted the indictment as politically motivated.

“As expected, prosecutors filed charges today that they deemed were not warranted just six weeks ago following a five-year investigation into this case,” Lowell said in a statement. “The evidence in this matter has not changed in the last six weeks, but the law has and so has MAGA Republicans’ improper and partisan interference in this process. Hunter Biden possessing an unloaded gun for 11 day was not a threat to public safety, but a prosecutor, with all the power imaginable, bending to political pressure presents a grave threat to our system of justice.”

If convicted on all counts, Hunter Biden could face as much as 25 years in prison and fines of up to $750,000, according to court filings.
