Over the weekend, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton secured his SIXTH Formula One world title, now out to beat the all-time record of 7 wins by driver Michael Schumacher.

Though he just had to do better than 8th place to win (on points) the racer almost won the Texas race, just losing to teammate Valtteri Bottas in the last 4 laps.

When asked the inevitable questions about besting Schumaker’s record, the thoughtful Hamilton replied:

‘I want to continue to grow with the team so that is the target.

But I don’t want to look too far ahead. You don’t know what the next day will bring. You need to enjoy today and smile.’

Then a smiling Hamilton whisked his family — who had all flown into Texas for this race — to New York to celebrate. Well done, mate!
