In case you missed it — ie. if you live on Mars — last night at the Ocars Will Smith stormed onstage and slapped Chris Rock when the comedian jokingly said Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved haircut made her look like G.I. Jane.
At first, most people in the auditorium giggled nervously, assuming it was staged while a shocked audience watched at home.
But as the uncut version circulates online, many are asking if it was real. In America, they cut audio for 20 seconds, so US viewers didn’t see or hear Will Smith yell at Chris Rock ‘keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth.’
