FounderMade’s Meghan Asha.

Last week, we had a rare preview of some of the innovative products being brought to market with the help of FounderMade. Founded by Meghan Asha, FounderMade curates the best-in-class new products and puts them together with investors, press, marketing people and retail — basically, everything a small company needs. Or, as Meghan puts it, ‘the mission of FounderMade is to provide a platform for consumer brands and businesses to connect through curated summits to accelerate growth. ‘

Most popular was the cordless hair dryer by  Volo founders, Ryan Goldman and Jonathan Friedman. Ryan explained that they had to wait for battery technology to catch up before they could create this product. It’s powered by the same lithium-ion battery cells found in electric cars! It’s also better for the hair than conventional hair dryer s since it uses a quartz infrared light and heat to penetrate the cortex of your hair, drying it from the inside out. We’re getting in line.

Acquis founders, Britta Cox, and Suveen Sahib, displayed their ‘waterless’ hair system that uses less water to save strands. (See our review here.)

Other brand-new, innovative products included Rose & Abbot which has developed a scalable data-driven, personalized moisturizer with over 10,000 product variations, and Navtias, “Superfood innovations to fit all of your personal health goals.’

CRUDE Personal Care, the world’s first soap-free, detergent-free, plant-based body washes, also showcased their wares.

Healthy but tasty vegetarian food was provided by Chef Royce, famous for his lasagna popup, at his new cafe, Yarrow on Fairfax in L.A.
