The Spanish Canfranc Station, once a busy railway station, fell into disrepair over the years, but now had been re-made as a luxury hotel. They welcomed their first guests this January.

BEFORE.

AFTER

The architects of the hotel project had to be careful to ‘preserve’ the character of the historical 1928 building, yet update it to today’s standards.  There are 104 rooms in the hotel, including four suites. There’s a wellness area, including a pool and three restaurants. What was once the station concourse is now the hotel reception.

We’re putting this on our bucket list.
