JUST IN: Joel Greenberg, the associate of Rep. Matt Gaetz has signaled that he plans to cooperate with investigators who are looking into whether Gaetz broke federal sex trafficking, prostitution and public corruption laws and whether he had sex with a minor.
Greenberg had faced decades in prison on 33 federal counts that ranged from identity theft to sex trafficking of a minor, so it’s not surprising that he turned against Republican Gaetz.
Following the (digital) money trail, investigators suspect Gaetz paid money to girls in violation of prostitution and sex trafficking laws. No one said criminals were smart.
Greenberg’s lawyer had this to say:
“I’m sure Matt Gaetz isn’t feeling very comfortable today.”
Gaetz maintains his innocence.
