At the virtual Covid-19 summit at the UN General Assembly this week, President Joe Biden pledged an  “arsenal of vaccines” for poorer countries. At last estimate, only 2% of people in low-income countries have gotten at least one dose.

To date, the Biden administration has shipped out 160 million doses (more than any other country.) At the UN he called on other countries to help vaccinate 70% of the rest of the world by next September.

Keep in mind that the WHO says more than 11 billion doses are needed to end the pandemic.
