The Biden Administration approved new COVID boosters in the fall, with reformulated doses from Pfizer and Moderna. The new versions are expected to perform better against the now-dominant Omicron subvariant BA.5.

 

 

Unlike the last booster that was only available to those over 50 or with underlying health conditions, these updated booster shots are recommended for everyone, even children.
