‘Mr. Long Island’ (a.k.a.) Billy Joel was dining at the same restaurant in the town where singer Justin Timberlake was charged with a DUI.

Asked about the now sensational arrest, Joel replied, “Judge not lest ye be judged.”

Timberlake, who refused the breathalyzer test, spent nine hours in lockup before before he was released.

Meanwhile, Billy Joel is no stranger to alcohol, having completed a number of rehab visits for alcohol abuse. But ‘Piano Man’ checks the record: “I never had a D.U.I. in my life,” he said. “That’s another fallacy. Look at the police records.”

To recap, Timberlake told the office that he had only had ‘one martini’ before refusing a breathalyzer test.

Editor’s note: It is your constitutional right to refuse to take a breathalyzer test, though it means your driver’s license will be automatically suspended for one year. Timberlake is due back in court for a hearing on July 26. If he’s not found guilty, he will have full driving privileges.
