Twitter responded to Trump’s tweets today inciting violence by suspending his account for 12 hours and, for the first time, deleted his tweets after instead of trying to quell the riot at the Capitol, he continued to inflame his followers, claiming falsely that the election was ‘stolen’ and encouraging them to march on the Capitol building.

YouTube and Facebook have also removed his inflammatory posts, with Facebook also blocking Trump from their platform for 24 hours.

Twitter went even further, warning that they would permanently suspend Mr. Trump’s account if he continued ‘to violate its policies against violent threats and election misinformation.’
