Trump is taking heat for playing golf in Florida on Sunday morning as the war in Iran continued to put the US military in harm’s way.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wrote on X, “America is at war, TSA agents aren’t being paid and this guy is playing golf.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom also posted on X about the president’s schedule during the conflict. In one message, he complained, “A 7th American soldier is now dead.” “But don’t worry, Donald Trump is golfing.”
In a telling old interview from 2008, President George W. Bush addressed this very issue.
“I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf,” Bush said.
Trump has played golf EIGHT times since the war was declared.
