As an out-of-control wildfire raged into Redding in California, KRCR-TV hostsAnchors Allison Woods and Tamara Damante were told they had to leave the studio immediately. Woods hastily announced: ‘We’ve been here live and right now we are being evacuated. We are going to leave the station because it is now unsafe to be here.’
Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate the town. A fire official said the blaze was ‘taking down everything in its path’. He added: ‘It’s just a wall of flames. It’s nonstop.’
