Venice’s chic Abbot Kinney Boulevard has any number of stunning restaurants such as one of our favorites, Gjelina, and now we can add another one to the list — The Butcher’s Daughter — a vegetarian spot from LA wellness guru Heather Teirney. (Imagine delicious stone-oven pizzas, ‘Roasted Rainbow Carrots’ with maple balsamic glaze and Cauliflower T-Bone ‘steak.’)
Not happy to rest on their avocado toast, Tierney and her chefs have started playing around with beer-inspired recipes, specifically bread and spreads. Calling it the ultimate ‘Toast to Your Weekend,’ the chefs are using Trumer Pils after visiting their brewery. Discovering that the centuries-old recipe uses just four ‘pure’ ingredients — water, malt, yeast, and hops — Tierney developed signature house-made recipes.
