Breaking News:

On Tuesday, a federal judge ordered that construction be halted on Trump’s proposed $400 million White House ballroom, to be built in place of the demolished East Wing. Saying work must stop until the project receives a go-ahead from Congress, it came after months of litigation.

“The President of the United States is the steward of the White House for future generations of First Families. He is not, however, the owner!” Judge Leon wrote.

“The President may at any time go to Congress to obtain express authority to construct a ballroom and to do so with private funds,” Leon added.

Trump lashed out on his favorite medium —  social media — calling  the nonprofit the National Trust, which had initially filed the legal challenge, “a Radical Left Group of Lunatics.”
