They’re calling it ‘Snowmageddon.’ The worst storm to hit the South, Diego, has been blamed for at least three deaths, with more than 1,000 flights canceled and has left over 2,700 people without power.
Between Sunday and Monday alone, more than 1,700 car accidents were reported in Virginia.
States of emergency have been declared in Virginia, North Carolina, and Oklahoma,
North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper got a jump on the incoming storm by declaring a state of emergency before the storm hit.
“Snow may be beautiful, but it can also be treacherous and I urge North Carolinians to take this storm seriously and get ready for it now,” the governor said on Friday.
