On Wednesday, Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 storm, hitting the state with 150mph winds and pounding rain.

Authorities have warned that fatalities will be ‘in the hundreds’ as the storm continues.

Today, 50 National Guard helicopters are starting the search and rescue for thousands who are stranded or missing in the aftermath of the catastrophic water damage and 155mph winds. plucking people off roofs.

In the meantime, Joe Biden declared it a ‘major disaster’ and freed up funds to help those without power and hundreds of thousands whose homes have been leveled.
