Canadian-born comedian Mike Myers made a sly political statement on Saturday Night Live after playing an erratic Elon Musk on the cold open. (See the clip below.)
At the closing of the show, Myers gestured to the tee, which also featured a Canadian flag, before pointing to his elbow and mouthing the words “elbows up” to the camera.
This comes after Trump threatened to make Canada part of the US and attempted to cripple the Canadian economy with tariffs.
As the credits rolled, Myers opened his jacket to reveal a black T-shirt reading ‘Canada is not for sale’ and mouthing the words ‘elbows up.’
Even last week, Trump continued to insult our northern neighbor, referring to Canada as his ’51st state’ and referring to Prime Minister Trudeau as ‘governor.’
