Tuesday,  Trump warned Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that Putin is “playing with fire” following Russia’s most extensive aerial assault on Ukraine since the war began. The overnight offensive involved 367 drones and missiles, resulting in at least 12 civilian deaths and the capture of four villages in Ukraine’s Sumy region by Russian forces.

In a post on his Truth Social platform,  Trump expressed his frustration, declaring that if it weren’t for his efforts, “lots of really bad things would have already happened,” without specifying what the   “really bad” things were, or make any specific threats.

He emphasized that Russia’s aggressive actions are unacceptable and signaled the possibility of imposing additional sanctions to deter further escalation.

The Kremlin responded to Trump’s remarks by suggesting that his comments were due to “emotional overload.”

Ouch.
