Donald Trump has called for a nationwide ban on what he described as “fake-ass polls,” lashing out at a series of surveys showing his approval ratings and election prospects slipping in key states. Speaking during a rally in Florida, the former president claimed the polls were “made up by the same corrupt media” and insisted that his campaign’s own internal data showed him “winning big, bigger than ever before.”

Trump’s remarks came after several major outlets, including CNN and The Wall Street Journal, released polls indicating that support for his 2025 policies has waned amid continued economic uncertainty and foreign policy controversies. He accused the press of trying to “demoralize” his supporters ahead of the upcoming election season and vowed to “ban these fake-ass polls that do nothing but lie to the American people.”

“After winning THREE Elections, BY A LOT, I am now getting the best Polling Numbers that I have ever received,” Trump wrote (yelled) on Truth Social.

Critics said the comments reflected Trump’s long-standing hostility toward unfavorable data and independent media. Some campaign analysts suggested his outburst underscored growing anxiety within his team as recent numbers show a tightening race against several Democratic challengers. Despite the backlash, Trump repeated his claim that “real Americans know the truth” and that his campaign would “fight fake numbers with real votes.”
