Over the weekend, Russia sent out a counterfeit news release saying ‘The King passed away unexpectedly yesterday afternoon.”
Even with the seal of the British monarch, it immediately fell flat as the Palace immediately denied the report.
“We are happy to confirm that The King is continuing with official and private business,” it read.
This is par for the course for Russia as it attempts to destabilize governments and countries with false information and fake social media.
