Woody Allen’s 50th film, Coup de Chance ( French for stroke of luck) will be released in Europe but doesn’t have a distributor in the US.

In a statement, Allen called the movie a “story of romance, passion and violence set in contemporary Paris. Shot all over the city and a little bit in the countryside, it evolves around a romance between two young people who are old friends and devolves into marital infidelity and ultimately crime.”

Due to the backlash over Woody Allen in light of the #metoo movement, Amazon dropped the director from a multi-picture deal and no US distributor will pick up his films.
