Breaking news: Trump just agreed to pull all ICE agents out of Minnesota and allow local police to investigate the killing of 37-year-old Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse, by the federal agents.
After the shooting of US citizen Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse, by ICE agents, instead of sending in ‘ICE Barbie’ — the nickname for Kristie Noem, head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Trump announced he was sending in Tom Homan.
‘I am sending Tom Homan to Minnesota tonight. He has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday. ‘Tom is tough but fair, and will report directly to me.’
Meanwhile, Trump himself has privately expressed that Noem mishandled the public messaging in the immediate aftermath of Pretti’s shooting, where she called the protestor a ‘domestic terrorist.’
