As Iran bombs indiscriminately, including at Dubai, tourists have been told to ‘shelter in place’ and the airspace has been closed.
Due to “regional escalation” and “reported missile attacks,” and most flights have been grounded until further notice.

Reports are filtering in that there are limited flights out ofDubai International (DXB) and Zayed International in Abu Dhabi.

A passenger advisory from DXB said: “Limited operations are expected to resume later today (March 2) with a small number of flights operating from DXB and DWC. Passengers must not travel to the airport unless they have received a confirmed departure time directly from their airline, as schedules remain subject to change.“

The United Arab Emirates announced on Sunday that it would cover accommodation costs for stranded visitors. The General Civil Aviation Authority said it was picking up the tab for meals and accommodation for more than 20,000 passengers who were unable to leave over the weekend.
Tourism is huge in the nation. Dubai, ranked among the top 10 destinations in the world, welcomed 19.59 million tourists last year, and continues to build luxury hotels at breakneck speed.
