The Epicutis Facial Friday event felt like stepping into a world where skincare meets science, luxury, and that unmistakable glow everyone chases. Epicutis representative Sheila introduced the brand’s philosophy: clinical-grade, barrier-strengthening skincare built around clean, biotech-driven ingredients.

Before the treatments even began, attendees got a hands-on look at the formulas, feeling the silky textures of the Lipid Serum ($250) and HYVIA Crème ($195) while learning how their patented ingredients target inflammation and strengthen compromised skin.

We asked Sheila McCrink, Director of PR & Events, about the brand:

‘Epicutis is founded in biotechnology. We have over two decades of research out of Princeton University, and we really believe that skincare is about skin health, not anti-aging. Aging is inevitable; what we want to do is create the healthiest environment for our skin, so our products are focused on reducing redness, inflammation, and creating a healthy skin barrier.

We are also laser-focused on minimal ingredients with maximum efficacy. The brand can achieve this through our biotech roots, creating novel, proprietary ingredients and molecules that enhance our skincare.’

Then came the signature Epicutis facial, created by esthetician Clara (who also oversees the Latin America division), which managed to be both deeply restorative and undeniably indulgent. The estheticians layered the products with deliberate, almost meditative precision, beginning with a calming oil cleanse that managed to take off all our makeup but didn’t leave us with a greasy feeling, then moving on to the Lipid Serum (our favorite product from the brand). That was followed by the popular Lipid Recovery bio-cellulose mask, which calms the skin and brightens the complexion. A red light helped absorption.

The treatment finished with the Lipid Shield SPF 30, a mineral-based sunscreen formulated with non-nano zinc oxide to provide SPF 30 protection while actively supporting skin health. Our skin looks better after a day wearing it. How many sunscreens can you say that about?

A new set made for post-procedure recovery, complete with our Oil Cleanser, Lipid Serum, Hyvia® Crème, and Lipid Recovery Mask. (Also good for travel.) $75.

How did we fall in love with the brand? Simple. The Lipid serum was able to diminish a dark biospy scar on our face, even after lasers couldn’t.

If it could do that, imagine how good it is for the rest of our skin!
