According to a new study by Beach.com, the Caribbean is now the most popular beach region in the world for American travelers in 2026.

Last year, the East Coast beaches in the US were the first choice (though, as a Californian, we’d put any of our beaches against Cape Cod or the Hamptons).
Now more Americans say they’d choose the Islands of the Caribbean, ranking their beaches as best for vacas.
In the study, Americans ranked the Caribbean as easy to get to, with many direct flights now available to spots like St.Barts, the Cayman Islands and Aruba.

Naturally, the weather factors in, with near-perfect days to be enjoyed on the Islands of the Bahamas or the beaches of Grand Cayman.
Come to think of it, those beaches do look idyllic.
