I was sent the Defy Damage Protective Shampoo by Joico to test out, and it truly knocked it out of the park! ($26.)
It’s super lightweight and lathers into a smooth foam that cleans your hair quickly and thoroughly, leaving grease and grime no chance of sticking. As someone with colored hair, I was especially surprised that it didn’t strip away any of my hair’s vibrancy like other supposed color safe products. My color stayed completely intact while my hair still felt fresh, soft, and clean after washing.
Along with the shampoo, they also have a matching conditioner and hair mask, which I love because it makes it easy to keep the whole routine consistent. If you’re someone who colors their hair and wants something that actually cleans while still protecting your color, I’d definitely recommend JOICO’s ‘Defy.’
