Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts didn’t single out Trump, but it was clear for whom the message was intended.
After a Federal Judge ruled against Trump’s tariffs, the President hit out, calling him,
“wacky, nasty, crooked and totally out of control.”
In response, Roberts warned that personal criticism of federal judges is dangerous and “it’s got to stop.”
“Personally directed hostility is dangerous and it’s got to stop.”
Judges have already had to hire private security because of MAGAs responding to Trump’s threats.

U.S. District Judge Lee Rosenthal, who shared the stage with the chief justice, thanked Roberts because “we always know that you have our backs and that means a great deal.”
