Wednesday morning Pfizer announced that its trials have shown that its vaccine is 100% effective at protecting children aged 12 to 15 from COVID-19. Currently, the vaccine is authorized only for ages 16 and older.

In a trial that included 2,260 children in that age group, the vaccine ‘demonstrated 100% efficacy and robust antibody responses.’

This has huge implications, not only for getting children back to school but also gets us closer to herd immunity.
