At the same podium that Trump delivered his statements on the war in Iran, Melania Trump surprised reporters with a statement denying she knew Epstein except for bumping into him at a party.

“I had never met Epstein and had no knowledge of his criminal undertakings,” she said. “Numerous fake images and statements about Epstein and me have been calculating [sic] on social media for years now. Be cautious about what you believe.”

Reportedly, even the President didn’t know she was making a speech about Epstein.

She said the rumors should “end today,” calling them “mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation.”

Some White House officials were ‘stunned’ by the timing of the remarks, which sparked rumors that the first lady was trying to get out ahead of something, but there doesn’t appear to be a book or article on the horizon that might have painted her in a less-than-flattering light.

Also a surprise — that the First Lady issued a call to action:

“I call on Congress to provide the women who have been victimized by Epstein with a public hearing specifically centered around the survivors, give these victims their opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress with the power of sworn testimony,” Trump said.

“Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story in public, if she wishes, and then her testimony should be permanently entered into the congressional record.”

Reportedly, the White House was not happy since they had managed to distract from the Epstein files with the Iran war.
