After the horrific video of ICE fatally shooting 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti , Minnesota Governor Tim Walz renewed his call for President Trump to pull federal agents, saying: “This is an inflection point, America”.

Hundreds of thousands of protestors have taken to the streets in Minnesota as well as other major cities.

Meanwhile, Former president Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have called Alex Pretti’s killing a “heartbreaking tragedy”.

In a statement, the couple says the shooting “should be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault”.

“For weeks now, people across the country have been rightly outraged by the spectacle of masked ICE recruits and other federal agents acting with impunity and engaging in tactics that seem designed to intimidate, harass, provoke and endanger the residents of a major American city,” it says.
