Reportedly, the  Department of Justice has ‘multiple’ recordings of Trump incriminating himself in the case of the classified documents – including his bragging about files detailing an attack on Iran. In an effort to impress a journalist, Trump waved around documents that he said were secret information about a plan to attack Iran.

So this recording indicates that Trump knew he had classified Pentagon documents, despite publicly saying that he ‘declassified’ everything by ‘just thinking about it.’

It also acknowledges that he would like to ‘share’ the information with the writer but that — post-presidency — he can’t declassify records.

Since these interviews were conducted with Trump’s consent, they are admittable as evidence.
