Prince Andrew, the second son of Queen Elizabeth II, was to sit for deposition in just two weeks across the table from his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, a teenage victim of Jeffrey Epstein, who had accused him of raping her when she was a teenager.

While no financial details were made public in the settlement (though the payment is rumored to be 10 million), Prince Andrew just also make a substantial donation to a charity “in support of victims’ rights.” He has not admitted guilt as part of the settlement.

This will certainly spare the Queen some embarrassment.
