In the ever-weird, ever-wild universe of celebrity antics, a strange constellation formed when pop icon Katy Perry found herself in the crosshairs of some unexpected trolling… from fellow celebs.
While all the women, excuse me, ‘astronauts,’ have faced a huge backlash from A-listers, most of the comments have been reserved for Perry. Olivia Munn called the hyped-up trip ‘gluttonous’ and ‘planet destroying.’
What are they doing? Like, why? I’m just saying this. I know this is probably not the cool thing to say, but there are so many other things that are incredibly important in the world right now,” she said during an appearance on Today. “It costs so much money to go to space. There are a lot of people who can’t even afford eggs… I think it’s a bit gluttonous.”
Martha Stewart is the latest star to troll Katy Perry. The undisputed lifestyle queen captioned a video of herself experiencing weightlessness on a Zero-G flight back in 2006.
‘In case you spaced out, Martha has always been ahead of her time.’
Next up was Neil Patrick Harris, who wasn’t even on the rocket but somehow inserted himself into the cosmic clapback. During an interview, he mused, “I love Katy, but if her music ever makes it to space, alien civilizations might mistake it for a distress signal.” Ouch, Barney.
Actress-director Olivia Wilde reposted a meme of Perry kissing the ground upon her return from space via her Instagram Story and wrote, “Billion dollars bought some good memes, I guess.”
Afterwards, when interviewed endlessly about the entire 11-minute experience, she said that she felt “super connected to life” and “so connected to love”.

Reportedly, Perry now regrets ‘kissing the ground’ after the flight as well as her ‘close-up camera moments’ inside the capsule – remember, she held a daisy up to the camera, promoted the setlist to her upcoming tour, and sang the lyrics to ‘What a Wonderful World.’
