Once mistaken for a very hairy dog or a lost kangaroo, Alex the Great is not your average rabbit. Weighing in at nearly 25 pounds and stretching longer than most toddlers (to be exact: he’s 4 years old, and a 28-pound Flemish Giant rabbit), he has a heart as big as his ears…and that’s saying something.
But Alex isn’t just a unit of fluff. He’s a certified therapy bunny, bringing calm, joy, and the occasional accidental foot crush to hospitals, nursing homes, and schools.
Children adore him. Seniors spoil him. Nurses sneak him snacks. And every time he hops into a room (more like a soft plop, honestly), the mood lifts instantly. It’s hard to feel anxious when a rabbit the size of a Thanksgiving turkey is gently nudging your hand for head pats.
Alex specializes in what’s known as “emotional gravity.” That is—he sits on your feet and won’t move until you feel better. He’s an expert listener (never interrupts), and his warm, giant bunny loaf presence is like a weighted blanket with ears.

Of course, being a celebrity-sized bunny comes with quirks. He requires a custom stroller, sleeps in a dog bed, and once ate an entire decorative centerpiece at a mindfulness workshop. But no one’s ever mad at Alex. Because, honestly, just look at him.
From trauma therapy to post-exam stress sessions on campus, Alex is proof that healing sometimes comes in the form of an enormous, nose-wiggling cuddle machine.
So here’s to Alex the Great—the fluffiest therapist you never knew you needed.
(And yes, he accepts payment in carrots.)
