The image of a pro-Trump rioter with his feet up on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s desk is seared into most people’s memory.

And a federal judge in D.C. on Thursday ordered him kept behind bars until the trial, saying he “showed a total disregard for the law” and “total disregard for the U.S. Constitution.”

Chief U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell also described Richard Barnett, 60, of Gravette, Ark., as “entitled,” “brazen” and “a braggart.”

Mug shot.

Now charged with entering the Capitol violently with a dangerous weapon — a stun gun — and stealing government property — he stupidly posed for a photo of a letter addressed to Nancy Pelosi that he stole off her desk — his lawyer’s request that he be released from jail was immediately refused.

Judge Howell said  Barnett had traveled to DC ‘prepared with a weapon and cloaked with entitlement’ and ‘seemed happy to be one of the stars of this revolt.’

To add insult to injury, she disparaged Barnett for his social media boasting, that he ‘wrote [Pelosi] a nasty note, put my feet up on her desk and scratched my balls’.

‘Wow,’ the judge said as she read the message. ‘Brazen, entitled, dangerous.’
