Bernie Sanders, who’s taking another run at the Presidency, has confirmed that he will sign a pledge saying he will run as a Democrat.

Previously, Sanders had run as an ‘independent democratic socialist ‘which only split the votes in the last election and helped Trump win.( It also pissed off many Democrats. )

Under bylaws agreed on last August by the Dems, all candidates will be required ‘to affirm in writing’ that they ‘are a member of the Democratic party,’ will accept the Democratic nomination’ and ‘will run and serve as a member of the Democratic Party.’

Sanders enters a crowded field though, with many of the younger Senators —   Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand and Cory Booker –promote similar views, such as universal healthcare, raising the hourly minimum wage to $15 and free public college tuition.
