After Texas lawyers instituted laws to restrict access to a commonly used abortion medication, Mifepristone, the Biden administration asked the Supreme Court to intervene.

Justice Samuel Alito temporarily suspended the Texas judge’s ruling so women will have access to the drug while the case is argued in court.

Note: Mifepristone was approved by the FDA after a four-year trial and has been shown to be a ‘safe and effective’ say to end a pregnancy in the twenty years it’s been on the market.
