When vandals defaced Lisa Kearns election signs, drawing blackened teeth as well as a mustache and unibrow, the Canadian Mayoral candidate decided to have some fun with it.
Instead of replacing all the signs, she took a Sharpie and blackened her front teeth, drew on a unibrow and scrawled on a moustache, and made a light-hearted video. Now that video has gone viral, with people from as far away as Australia writing in the comments, ‘I’d vote for you!’
Kearns stated she wanted to add ‘levity and humanity’ to the race during a time of low voter engagement. She certainly did that!
