NASA just released its climate report for planet Earth and 2017 was once again one of the hottest years on record, no surprise for anyone who lives, well, on Earth.
Temperature records for the planet, monitored independently by both agencies, go back to 1880.
Why are temperatures are rising around the globe so scary? There are many results, but perhaps most importantly, sea ice continued its declining trend, both in the Arctic and Antarctic.As glaciers melt, it results in higher ocean levels, causing devastating floods, as we’ve seen this year.
