Apple’s New iPhone Duo Sells Out as Pre-Orders Surge.

Good luck getting your paws on Apple’s latest iPhone ‘duo.’ The Duo is Apple’s first-ever folding device and comes with a hefty $2,000 price tag.

Despite the price, pre-orders still sold out.

When Apple announced the new Duo, it said that pre-orders would open on 16 October, with the device going on sale and arriving with the first customers on 23 October.

The unfolded display is a 7.6-inch Retina display, and the outer display is 5.4 inches. Apple said that the new device was “inspired by the versatility of iPad” and showed how people can use it unfolded in a vertical mode. The inner display also features an “under-display” camera that can give users an ‘all-screen feel.’

Even though foldables contribute to less than 2% of shipments in the overall smartphone market, this is an iPhone so all those statistics go out the window. It could be a huge seller for Apple.
