The Jan. 6th panel investigating the riot at the Capitol really really wants to talk to Rudy Giuliani but he is once again defying its subpoena and reportedly had no plans to appear on Friday.

Remember, he was one of Trump’s foot soldiers and repeatedly tried to overthrow the election, even egging on the  Jan. 6 crowd to engage in “trial by combat” to keep Trump in the White House.

Now he could face criminal contempt charges for ignoring a subpoena.

“Mr. Giuliani is an important witness to the conspiracy to overthrow the government and he remains under subpoena,” said Tim Mulvey, a spokesman for the committee. “If he refuses to comply the committee will consider all enforcement options.”

Yet, the panel already has moved to hold four other former Trump aides in contempt, including  Steve Bannon, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, trade adviser Peter Navarro and social media manager Dan Scavino and there have been no repercussions.
