For the first time, President Trump is admitting that the diplomatic summit with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un may not happen, now that the despot has criticized the US and the push for denuclearization.
Meeting with South Korean’s leader, Trump said “There’s a very substantial chance that it won’t work out,” adding “That doesn’t mean that it won’t work out over a period of time, but it may not work out for June 12.”
Trump had crowed about the potential meeting and even hinted that it might earn him the Noble Peace Prize, but the gloating seems to have been premature.
